Driftwood Chiropractic Proudly Supports the 2nd Annual St. Vincent’s Nun Run
At Driftwood Chiropractic, we believe that a healthy community is a strong community. That is why we were honored to lace up and join the Savannah community as a proud sponsor of the 2nd Annual St. Vincent’s Nun Run, presented by the St. Vincent’s 1845 Foundation and Oliver Maner.
Running for a Reason (In a Habit!)
The atmosphere at Daffin Park was electric as participants of all ages wound through the majestic oaks of Midtown Savannah. The “Nun Run” is a 5K with a unique twist: many participants took to the course in full nun habits to compete for the “Most Creative Habit” award.
While the costumes brought the fun, the mission behind the race was deeply meaningful. Proceeds from the event benefit the ongoing preservation and restoration of the historic 1845 Convent of St. Vincent de Paul. This landmark is a cornerstone of Savannah’s heritage, having served for generations as a home for the Sisters of Mercy and a hub for education and community care.
Community, History, and Health
Supporting this event was a natural fit for Driftwood Chiropractic. The Sisters of Mercy founded many of the healthcare institutions we know today, including St. Joseph’s Hospital. Their legacy of healing and service aligns perfectly with our mission to provide the Savannah community with high-quality chiropractic care and wellness support.
